Dr. White Awarded Associated Colleges of the South Blended Learning Grant

Emily White (Assistant Professor of Chemistry) has been awarded a Blended Learning Program grant from the Associated Colleges of the South for a collaborative project with Kristen Cecala (Assistant Professor of Biology at Sewanee) and Gregory Lewis (Professor of Biology at Furman University).
Their project, “Using Web-Based Monitoring Data to Teach Climate Literacy”, will focus on the development of web-based modules that utilize local environmental monitoring data. These modules will help students to develop cross-disciplinary skills that are critical to understanding climate science. In addition to serving as a novel, real-time data driven approach to blended learning, this project will also be used to investigate the establishment of a cross-campus climate-monitoring network.
